Doug Chabot

Doug Chabot is the director of the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center as well as the co-founder of the nonprofit Iqra Fund, which serves to improve education for women and girls in northern Pakistan. Doug is an expert climber and has been involved in expeditions to Alaska, Nepal, India, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, chalking up many first ascents along the way. He has decades of experience on snow an in the mountains, and demonstrates a keen passion for avalanche science and forecasting.
